Entering In Time
How-To

Overview

This article aims to demonstrate the correct methods of entering time worked according to DynPro’s desired standard. Currently, there are two ways to enter time depending on the individual’s role. The approval process will differ depending on the role of the individual

To access the Timesheet module, a user must first login.

1. Go to: https://odoo.dynpro.com/web/login

2. If the user does not land on the Timesheets calendar, click on the "Timesheets" module icon. (keep in mind that you may need to click on the menu button to see the launcher that has the module list to select from.

Calendar

The calendar is a convenient way to quickly view expected project(s) allocated time, time off, and other time tracking.

Header
The header provides the control to switch between months and quickly navigate to the current day.

Left Column
On the left-hand side, you can view all the projects that you are associated with. If there are multiple sub-projects or sub-tasks, this is where you would find them.

Center Column
This is the visual calendar where projects and other time-related actions are displayed and separated by color. These colored blocks can be left-clicked to show more detailed information.

Time Modal
After clicking on the color-coded block, a modal will appear with more information. This also allows you to edit the time that is expected or was worked during that time period.

Right Column
There is a graphical square calendar that allows you to quickly jump by day. Underneath the smaller calendar, a list of people can be seen by role and hierarchy. Only managers and above at this time can see more than the public group and their own calendar.

Timesheets

Timesheets is a module used to capture time worked in an easy-to-use weekly GUI table. This module allows users to enter their time worked for each day of the week and submit it for approval. The Timesheets module is designed to be user-friendly and intuitive, making it easy for users to enter their time worked quickly and accurately.

  1. Go up to “Timesheets” in the top banner and left-click. Once the drop-down appears, click on “My Timesheet Sheets”.
  2. Once the page loads, you will see currently due sheets by date. Click on the one applicable.
  3. Once the Timesheet table is loaded, check the times. In the video example, I change two time entries and add another line/project.
  4. In this case, I show how all associated projects can be shown in a modal. I selected Internal and then time off. A new line displayed and I added 8 hours into Friday.
  5. Once done, click save and then click “send to be approved”.
